Carrying a tool that runs out
How to plan around R.E.P.O. gear that discharges or wears out, given that different tools fail in different ways.
Applies to
0.4.0, read from the copy of the game this site was built from (see the sources page)
Before you start
- Tools in the crew
- Spare batteries or a charging station
- A route you intend to finish
Steps
- Work out which of your gear uses battery before you set out.
tools such as the leaf blower carry a drain rate of their own - Expect hitting something to cost more charge than using a tool as intended.
the leaf blower drains separately when it hits a monster - Watch gear that wears out as well as gear that runs down.
melee weapons drain durability when they hit - Carry spares rather than relying on one item.
batteries are carried items rather than a shared pool - Leave a charging station where you will come back through it.
the charging station is an object you place
Common mistakes
- Setting out with no spare battery.
- Using a tool as a weapon and being surprised by the drain.
- Never checking a melee weapon after a fight.
