Getting a valuable to the extraction point
How a haul in R.E.P.O. is actually finished: the extraction point is a machine with a tube, a grabbed button and its own screens, and going over the haul goal is a state of its own.

Before you start
- A valuable in hand or on the way
- A crew that will not stand in the machine's path
- Someone watching the truck screen while the haul runs
Steps
- Treat the extraction point as a machine you operate rather than a doorway you stand in.
the extraction point has an area, a tube, and a station and button of its own - Watch the tube, because the haul is staged rather than instant.
the tube builds up, slams down and retracts, each with its own sound, and the slam has a version played for everyone - Grab the button to start a haul instead of pressing it.
the button is a grabbed object with on and off states, a deny material and its own press curve - Read the machine's own lines rather than guessing its state from the lights.
it prints separate lines for extracting, ready, active, locked, completed and a tax return - Fill the haul to its goal, and keep going if you can, because going over is a state of its own.
it holds a haul goal and a surplus state with its own start, increase and deduction sounds - Keep clear of the machine while it is taking a load.
it carries a safety spawn, a room volume and hurt colliders of its own - Read the truck screen while the haul is being worked on.
a message on the truck screen has a screen type, a loading bar and a result bar with a light of its own - Learn the families of valuables, because a level chooses what it holds.
a level records the valuables it prefers and sorts them by size kinds running from tiny to very tall
Common mistakes
- Standing in the tube's path while the machine is working.
- Pressing the button instead of grabbing it.
- Reading the lights and missing the line the machine is printing at you.
- Stopping the moment the haul goal is met, when going over is a state of its own.
