The sparks a vehicle throws

Sparks come as a left set and a right set, each with a transform of its own.

A scrape on a vehicle in R.E.P.O. is a system rather than a single effect: each side has its own transform, particles, collider and light, each side has a loop, and the sound is scaled between a minimum and a maximum for speed, pitch and gain.

What the game establishes

In play

Sparks are built per side. The left and the right each have a transform of their own, so a scrape can be drawn where it is happening instead of in the middle of the vehicle.

Each side carries the whole effect, not only a picture. There are particles, a collider and a light for the left and the same for the right, which is why a scrape can be seen, can mark the body and can throw light on what is next to it.

The effect is a loop rather than a burst. Each side has a loop of its own, so the sparks last as long as the scrape does instead of being fired once at the moment of contact.

The sound is scaled rather than fixed. It runs between a minimum and a maximum for how fast the vehicle is going, for its pitch and for its gain, so the same scrape sounds different at speed and at a crawl.

What this entry does not tell you: how many sparks are drawn, how bright the light is, or how loud the loop gets. We have not verified those numbers, so we do not print them.
