Reading the signs of a level
How to use the plates a level hangs on its doors in R.E.P.O., given that the arctic station names its own rooms and its own departments.

0.4.0, read from the copy of the game this site was built from (see the sources page)
Before you start
- A level with signs on its doors
- Enough light to read a plate
- A reason to choose a room
Steps
- Read the plate on a door before committing to the room.
the arctic station signs its own rooms, a cafeteria, a research lab and an infirmary among them - Use the working names to find where things are moved.
the working side is signed too: a loading dock, a cargo processing area, a staging area and a vehicle maintenance bay - Learn the plant rooms as well.
a cooling center and a ventilation chamber each have a plate - Read the departments rather than only the rooms.
accounting, botanical research and an exotic materials division are named on plates - Do not skip the living side.
living quarters, an observation platform, a recreation room and a testing lab are all signed - Expect other themes to ship other sign sheets.
a robot company sign, a library sign and a museum no-smoking sign are carried beside the arctic plates
Common mistakes
- Opening signed doors at random because the plates look alike.
- Treating the plant rooms as part of the working side and skipping them.
- Assuming every level uses the same plates as the arctic one.
- Walking past a named room because it is small.
