How to bring a fallen crew mate back in R.E.P.O. using the revive item, rather than discovering too late that nobody carried one.
Applies to
0.4.0, read from the copy of the game this site was built from (see the sources page)
Before you start
- A revive item in the crew
- Somebody who is down and reachable
- Enough cover to stand still for a moment
Steps
- Decide before the run who is carrying the revive item.
reviving is done with a carried device rather than a command - Take the device to the person rather than expecting them to come to you.
the device reaches out with hands of its own - Do it in a dark room without hesitating, because the device lights itself.
it carries spot, point and healing lights - Expect the revive to affect you as well as them.
it has a screen effect for the player doing the reviving - Do not treat it as a reason to stand and fight.
it is a revive item rather than a weapon
Common mistakes
- Leaving the revive item behind in the van.
- Trying to revive somebody from across the room.
- Reviving in the open with the monster still there.
