Protecting your loot from monsters

A monster exists whose job is to throw something at valuables.

Not every monster in R.E.P.O. is coming for you: the game defines monsters built around throwing things at your valuables, so your haul needs protecting as much as your crew.

What the game establishes

In play

The threat is aimed at the loot: the game has a monster whose behaviour is built around throwing an object, which is why leaving valuables unattended is a risk rather than safe storage.

Because monsters are physical objects, an impact is a collision between things in the level rather than a hidden dice roll.

Some objects in the level are meant to be grabbed and stay put, which makes them useful as places to leave something while you work.

What this entry does not tell you: how much damage a throw does, how far it reaches or how much value is lost. We have not verified those numbers, so we do not print them.
