Extraction and the shop · R.E.P.O. v0.4.0 · read from a local copy

The shop between runs

The game has a shopkeeper and a shop manager for the between-run shop.

R.E.P.O. is not only the levels: the game defines a shopkeeper, a shop manager, upgrade stands and cosmetic machines, which is where your takings turn into a stronger crew.

What the game establishes

In play

Between runs the game gives you a shop to spend in, with someone keeping it and its own cost display rather than a bare menu.

Upgrades are bought at a stand and keep their own information, so an upgrade is a thing in the world rather than a checkbox you tick.

Cosmetics have their own machine, so changing how the crew looks is a separate decision from getting stronger.

What you have bought is accounted for in one place. An item manager keeps the purchased items, the power crystals spent on them, what has been spawned into the world, the local player's inventory and the lights that go with the item icons, which is why the shop can show you what you own.

What this entry does not tell you: prices, how many upgrades exist or what each one changes. We have not verified those numbers, so we do not print them.
