The staffs
The game ships three staffs as separate items: an antigravity staff, a void staff and a torque staff.
Three staffs in R.E.P.O. do three different jobs: the game ships an antigravity staff, a void staff and a torque staff, each with its own behaviour and its own artwork.
What the game establishes
- The game ships three staffs as separate items: an antigravity staff, a void staff and a torque staff. (checked against the game's own files)
- Each staff has its own surfaces and its own look. (checked against the game's own files)
- The torque staff has an arrow of its own. (checked against the game's own files)
- The game also ships an orb as a separate carried item. (checked against the game's own files)
- The crew carries a range of other items besides the staffs. (checked against the game's own files)
In play
The staffs are a family of items. The game ships three of them as separate items rather than one staff with settings, which is why each has behaviour of its own and a look of its own.
One of them lifts things. The antigravity staff is an item in its own right with its own surfaces, which is why what it does to something heavy is different from what a hand does.
One of them moves things at a distance. The void staff is separate again, so the game offers more than one way to move something you cannot carry.
One of them turns things. Torque is its own staff with an arrow of its own, so rolling an object over is a job in itself rather than a side effect of picking it up.
Each carries its own finish. Emission, metallic and normal surfaces are shipped per staff, which is why they are distinct rather than recolours of one shape.
They are not the whole arsenal. The game also ships an orb and a range of other carried items, so the staffs are one set among several.
What this entry does not tell you: what any staff costs, how strong its effect is, or how long it lasts. We have not verified those numbers, so we do not print them.
