Letting the orb and the drone work for you
How the orb and the drone in R.E.P.O. behave when you leave them to it, so a tool that works by itself is deployed on purpose.

Before you start
- An orb or a drone in the crew's inventory
- Batteries or charge
- Valuables you want collected
Steps
- Pick the orb's kind before you deploy it, because it comes in two.
orbs come in two kinds, a constant one and a pulsing one - Stand where the orb's radius can do something.
the orb carries a radius of its own - Let it collect rather than carrying everything yourself.
there is a behaviour for a valuable being absorbed, with its own duration and the value it adds - Expect company, and know what the company is.
roaches orbit the orb with their own radius, rotation speed and noise - Watch the orb's battery, because it drains at a rate of its own.
the orb drains a battery at its own rate - Deploy the drone knowing it can be pointed at people as well as loot.
the drone has separate targeting for valuables, players, enemies and ordinary objects - Read the drone's line to see what it is working on.
the drone keeps a line between two points with a start point of its own - Recall it rather than leaving it out, because it runs on a battery of its own.
the drone carries a battery drain setting and its own retract and end sounds
Common mistakes
- Deploying an orb without deciding which kind you want.
- Leaving an orb running while its battery drains unnoticed.
- Pointing a drone at the crew by accident, because players are on the list.
- Walking away from a drone and coming back to a dead battery.
